Cloudy, some sunny breaks, and 8 degrees at 10am. High of 11 expected this afternoon, with increasing clouds throughout the day.

Not sure how long the mods lets these threads go before closing them and starting a new thread.

They've stopped closing threads after they've reached a certain length. They don't do that any more.

This is at least the third, and possibly the fourth weather thread to have existed on this site.

Currently 10C in Moncton at 10 AM, going up to 18C this afternoon.

The entire long range forecast period is expected to be sunny. The Victoria Day weekend will be hot.

I opened my pool yesterday, but I won't turn on the heat pump for another three weeks or so yet. The pool looks good though. I've gotten very efficient with strategies to keep debris from the wintertime out of the pool.

I noticed page 2000 too when opening this thread. Kind of cool.

overcast with light rain showers all night. A little bit of moisture but not a lot. winds are going up and temperatures are going down. Snow forecasted for areas along the eastern slopes of the Rockies today. Checked my feed from last year and we had a snow storm 1 year ago. Weekend looks OK though.

Just checking on snow levels in the Highwood pass area of Kananaskis country. Hope the pass is open so We can get down and do a ride before it opens for vehicles.

Copy and paste to Google and that's the location it gives you. Weather station on a balcony maybe?
It looks like the latitude and longitude have been rounded to the nearest minute so that's not the exact location of it. The Windsor-Riverside station dates back to 1866, long before that building was built. I'm thinking the actual location is probably closer to the water.

It's probably at the water treatment plant

Ah maybe... it would make sense. I was doing the exercise of zooming in on those balconies to see if I could find a weather station lol. I think EC are a bunch of incompetent clowns, but I doubt they fall so low as to accept balcony weather station in their error ridden database.

EC is horrible and it's the reason why Windsorites give temperatures in Fahrenheit. We've learned to tune in to Detroit tv if we want an accurate forecast.

Sunny and 9 degrees at just before 10am. High of somewhere between 12 and 16 today, not sure how the northwesterly winds will impact the city.

Long weekend is looking amazing.

Yesterday was another cool day, overcast and 14c.

Much of the same today.

We’ve struggled to maintain a string of days above 20c this Spring, next week looks seasonal with daily highs at or just below average for the end of Mehy.

I'm sure we have you beat.

Sunny weather expected in Moncton for the entire Victoria Day weekend, with the temperatures expected to be 22C, 30C and 22C.

My pool is already opened (but not yet heated). I expect to put out all my patio furniture this weekend and clean out my gazebo. Things seem to be about two weeks ahead of schedule this spring.

Some good steady rain here yesterday. Bright and sunny and cool today. but has it ever greened up overnight. Forecast is a steady rise in temps so should be nice next week. And still no forest fires.

I moved my weather station outside just to see. When it was 12C at the airport, it was 17C in my backyard. That won't be fully accurate because I had to just lay it hanging off the edge of the deck railing, not as high from the ground or as away from the deck as it's supposed to be, and will be (to avoid radiant heat). But I think there's definitely going to be a difference in my favour compared to the airport. Exciting.

Also, long weekend, yay! Already listened to our May 24th anthem.
