Have you lost your mind? Vancouver's city hall is one of the finest examples of Art Deco in the country and might be one of the city's best buildings.
As far as Vancouver's single family homes I think they have either end of the spectrum nailed down, their ugly houses (pink stucco, vancouver special etc...) are easily among the worst in the country but their good modern west coast style single family homes (ie lots of glulam, dark stone, big windows etc...) are among the best.
Their towers are somewhat better than the rest of the country as none stand out for better or for worse. Flatline architecture.
This is probably the ugliest building in canada. A memory of my Queens days:
