You guys are right...the finished product looks better than expected, and I agree that the dark corner sections give the building a lot more character, and look less slab-sided.
Hopefully at some point they'll find a way to repackage the telecom apparatus into a centralized functional spire. Right now, it looks like a metaphorical bag of dropped marbles and is an eyesore on the skyline 100 times worse than that section of irregularly spaced spandrels (correct terminology?) on the Trump tower.
sorry to just pop in like this, just thought I would say that this building looks like a mix of the New York Times Building and an ipod. So excellent. Now if only they would do the same to the building's cousin in Chicago - The Aon Center.
Aon Center was already reclad, like, 20 years ago.

I totally disagree. I like the antennas on top FCP and in my opinion they add to the look of the tower in a positive way. Just like they do atop Sears and John Hancock in Chicago. Nothing in Toronto even comes close to being as hideous an eyesore as the thing on top of Trump. That is a real insult to the Toronto skyline.
