I guess what got me this time is just how far away we are from "getting it" here in Edmonton. Some days, there is that ray of hope, then you meet or find things like this, and wonder what the hell I'm wasting my time for...

Actually I think a majority of people do get it, but the people that don't are vocal. ie. the entrances to the city and Lesley.

Hence the problem...the people who get it need to start becoming vocal. I am so tired of this silent majority jsut sitting and playing the political "nice kitty" game while the misinformed and biased ludmouths with the access to print, radio, and TV blather on and on about garbage that makes us seem hicksville...

only if you run for council....I need allies and when I did my discovery for either councillor or mayor...well, let's just say that the results were not appealing given the councillors on staff or proposed...although I am getting pressure from a few to actually run...

neither am I, in fact Stephen called me an "educated redneck that won't suffer fools lightly, kick ass, and take names"...so I'll probably piss off more people that I woudl get to vote for me.

...hence why I am not a poli either. The focus group mentioned that I was just a little too blunt...

Noticed today that Westjet has added the larger 737-800 on some of its YEG-YYZ flights.Good to see...Sunwing will be operating the -800 on its flights aswell.The Mi-26 (worlds largest helicopter) will be making a 2 day stay here in June (22-24th).So go check her out.It will be parked at one of the FBO's on the north end of the field.

No idea. Man is there a handsome amount of air traffic at YEG now. I spent yesterday afternoon golfing at Red Tail and every couple of seconds there was a plane taking off or landing.

I noticed Calgary uses Heathrow as their naming convention. It looks a lot better.

"London UK" looks small townish to me.

I e-mailed Edmonton Airports about this yesterday and they agreed with changing UK to Heathrow. If you look at today's flight arrivals/departures screen (on the web at least), Air Canada flight 898 reads as "London (Heathrow)". Hopefully the Air Transat and Zoom flights are also updated to read "London (Gatwick)".
