so is it safe to assume we can look forward to a rezoning application for the baccarat site to allow "temporary surface parking" as well? didn't the city buy the baccarat site etc. and grant options to katz/wam for their subsequent acquisition for specific development? why would the city change what would be allowable under the initial agreements? and if it's just temporary, why wouldn't the city put that temporary use in place (where they control it) and keep all of the revenue and still allow the option to be exercised when the end development is what is going to be built?
a long time coming to application???? that's reason to approve something???? the application for surface parking (that wouldn't even have been disruption to the neighbors from a traffic perspective, particularly after hours) at 116th and jasper took a long time coming to application as well. your insistence on turning that down for all the right reasons should be remembered here where all of the same reasons - and more - apply in spades.
