So would this be another drone shot?

Can anybody say if the east side grandstand is now essentially "topped" out? Or is that just the lower bowl so far?

Where you see the angled forms is the tunnels for the top level seats. So so forms for the seats, then roof structure. But no more concourses above that level.

Actually there is another level, but not a concourse. They call it a utility/service level and you can see it just above the blue level below. It will not be open to the public. It will house such things as HVAC equipment. Also I am not sure there will be forms for the seats. Those are often precast and then just craned into place. See example below.

Work has just begun on the lower bowl, what you see thus far on the East side is all above grade.

Ahhh - thanks for that Stormer. I was wondering if the remaining bits of stands would be pre-cast and craned onto the sections they have formed already. That will dramatrically speed things up.

The one render looks a lot like a Great Canadian Brew Pub.

Evraz Steel expansion will be unveiled at 10am. There was a new growth tax incentive announced in the budget this month for any primary steel producer that invests $100 million or more in production facilities. The Premier will be there so it must be good news.

http://www.leaderpost.com/Evraz+pumps+mi...el+mill+jobs+created/10934641/story.html

A new two stage large diameter pipe mill. Increase capacity of the pipe mill by 100,000 metric tonnes.

What is most important here is it solidifies Evraz commitment to Regina. They are contracting all over the world but expanding in Regina. There will be a lot of construction, engineering and other spin off jobs. As well the 40 new jobs probably average $70k per year for regular Joes. More with O/T.

Evraz is expecting a lot of big pipeline projects in the region over the nexr 3 years. This should help our economy. From Evraz's PR:

Over the next three years, we’ll build more than $22 billion of pipelines to open new markets for Canadian producers – that requires certainty of the highest quality steel, available when it’s needed. EVRAZ is a proven partner and we’ve built a long term relationship on our shared commitment to making safety and quality the highest priorities, and to investing in communities," said Al Monaco, President and CEO, Enbridge Inc. "Today’s announcement is a great example of the economic benefits energy infrastructure projects create along the energy value chain and in communities."
Large diameter line pipe is integral to oil and natural gas distribution, and EVRAZ has produced more than 51,000 kilometres (32,000 miles) of project pipe from millions of tons of recycled metal over its 59 years in Regina. The Regina site and its employees currently contribute about $30 million per year to the federal and provincial economy in direct taxes. EVRAZ also creates another $600 million per year in economic benefit through the purchase of raw materials, goods and services.

New store for the Cornwall Centre to open soon, tho not sure where it will be located in the mall.

(an example of a Dynamite store front)

Good that another national retailer that is not currently in the Regina market is coming to the MALL and not a big box location.

Smart set is supposed to be closing out, so perhaps there? It also looks to be in the same group as Garage, so they could always convert that location too.

As FCC is nearing completion that area down town is starting to resemble a bigger city , there are now ten office towers in that two block radius bringing in hundreds of workers all we need now are new hotels and condo towers to make it even more alive
