I know how to post pictures - load onto flickr or something similar then transfer the code to your post. Does anyone know how to post a .pdf from your computer to a post? I assume its something similar to flickr that accepts other file types?

It needs more landscaping with planters, maybe a water feature, yes washroom's and absolutely development of the north side with restaurants, retail, patios, etc.

It was a great idea, but I would and have argued that the location was an issue.

With any sort of public investment (such as the plaza) you hope you can leverage it to spur additional private investment. The chosen location is largely lined with sites that aren't prime for redevelopment to create the sort of public/private realm interaction that is desired/needed. So the end result has been a plaza lined with unengaging facades with little to no interaction with the plaza.

A location where there was an opportunity to facilitate other development would have likely been a wiser choice. The best public spaces are those which don't rely on organized events, but which are ingrained in the life and fabric of the city.

Anyone know if Hamilton Place, which has or had an advertisement on the old apartment location next to the Delta Hotel, designed by Number10, is going to happen? It would be nice to fill that strip of Hamilton with some new-build ground floor retail, restaurant, mixed use, condo, etc.

They've already pulled buildings permits for the similar development on Rochdale/Pasqua.

Since it's owned by Harvard, nothing. It'll be a future site of a tower when the market requires it (and when the current Lt. Governor sells her building to them.) Hopefully it has street level retail.

They've got a 2-3 year parking lot allowance or something like that. I believe it was supposed to be mixed residential and office, might take a while for demand to build up again... especially on the office front.

Work has started on the CIBC building in Grasslands. Does anyone know what kind of bank this will be? With the branch at Southland catering to Asian-languages, I expect this one won't be retail. I'm wondering if it'll be Woody Gundy or an investment-focused branch. Maybe business banking.

There's a large foundation just off Lewvan, adjacent to the old Lions band building. Anyone know what's going up there?

This suburban commercial in the city centre kills me. Every time I'm in Regina and I see Regina Centre Crossing and the hotel construction across from it I shed a tear.

Absolutely nothing. I was skimming and for whatever reason (saw Superstore lot development and the word "crossing"?) thought the conversation was about something else. It's been a long day. I'll pay closer attention next time haha

Also looks like the new tenants (JYSK, Goodlife and whoever else) WILL also have the inside mall connection for the Victoria Square redevelopment, just like Southland Mall. Happy about this, and a no-brainer as this will affect the business of the other tenants and hopefully draw better ones as well
