This is getting kind of ridiculous...first arlington, then the lot around the old molson site, and then the taste of ukraine strip. How many fenced off holes with scattered debris do we have to put up with before the process changes. Edmonton is starting to look like it is post war...

That's not really fair. Arlington was the result of an "accidental" fire, not some civic policy decision, and the empty lot by Molson was an ugly Chrysler car lot (essentially a parking lot), so big whoop. Frankly, I'd rather look at an empty lot than a bunch of Chrysler products

I wouldnt mind if these lots were landscaped, but they are just debris filled holes... Welcome to edmonton, don't be fooled by our debris holes and potholed gravel parking lots where no consideration has been made to make them aesthetic pleasing; if you look past these things we truly are world class. Just go take a look at our shiny balls on a random inner suburban freeway

Ps, i just realized that those shiny balls would be perfect for the urban warehouse zone park going between 102 ave and jasper ave... The most recent article said that its location is not necessarily permanent...

Turn the lots into temporary community gardens. Lots of developers do that in Vancouver, if only because it lets them claim agricultural use (kid you not) and thus pay lower property taxes until redevelopment.

4-5 to be exact.

I live within spitting distance and it drives me nuts that they can keep it like that. It is now also attracting garbage and is slowly becoming a dumping zone.

It's been longer than that......that burnt down while I was retaking some high school classes downtown before university....thats like 7 or 8 yeras ago.

It's disgusting to think it has sat there for so long... What a scum bag that singh guy is.

We should make a point of calling bylaw everytime there is an issue with that site.

Hey, I'm old enough to remember bales of hay cut and baled at the corner of 109 St and 104 Ave. Actually, this would have been 1993.

I called 311 and left a complaint about the state of Victoria Promenade. I said that pedestrian-oriented streets should be given priority over other areas. I am hoping for a call back from someone at the City.
