So long as they don’t make this thing any shorter, it will at least still add some height variability to the skyline. We don’t currently have any towers in the 700 to 800 foot range.

I agree... I immediately thought it looked similar to another building. Not necessarily a good comparison though.

I'm not so sure it is blue. The color might just be the reflection of the blue sky in a neutral, more clear glass. The close up rendering does not read blue to me. I am hoping it is different.

Now the loss of the crown, as mentioned before, is a real loss. Just WHY? Good base, Nice tower portion, No crown, again. = Another Missed Opportunity = Just Another Skyscraper.

And Yes; At least it still has a decent height for our skyline! It will look good near 98 Red River I think, with good scaling down to the rest of the Downtown Skyline.

I think if we hadn't seen the original rendering, I think the tune would be much different on this one. Still a pretty cool look and it is 750 feet!

Bring back the green though!

What's with these constant redesigns? I feel the chances of the designs improving are small whenever they change. And if they do change to something good, they end up changing again, just like this one.

The previous iteration was at least cohesive in its eclectic-ness. This time, it seems that they tried to take a more-restrained design and spice it up in a way that really doesn't work.

I don't hate it. I like the vertical lines. The balconies are a little perplexing, though.

The top portion looks almost EXACTLY like the W. Disconcertingly so.

I am wondering when the whole design trend of random spacing will fade away. Apparently not yet.

I like it better. The design is more cohesive between the hotel & residential parts which is nice. The only interesting thing about the previous iteration was the "crown" but that wasn't even very impressive. I kinda prefer the flat top on this one tbh.

Towers tarted up the images from the original twitter post. Not bad.

Even with the loss of that crest, this thing is going to be very recognizable on the skyline.

It's increasingly growing on me. I just really hope the vertical lines are that off yellow color. I love blue and gold/yellow mixed.

I think it's sunset magic light in the rendering. It's the same color as the Hilton, which is a very light beige... almost white. Here's hoping though.

I am still not thinking it is a blue glass. Very reflective YES; of the blue sky, but not blue. We will see.

The 3rd time is definitely the charm. I hated the first rendering, was ok with the 2nd because it was a huge improvement and love the 3rd and agree about the vertical stripes.

Both designs are kind of meh. The vertical lines on this one are nice, but so were the horizontal lines on the last one. Losing the crown in the new version is very disappointing. The crown did need some work though. The asymmetry wasn't really working.

C'est la vie.
