If the new street off downing behind Assumption is going to connect to Robinson I would assume the Rogers building will be flattened, they could fit a significant project there. I'm guessing we'll only see that once the market is moved to it's new location in 3-5 years.

The Rogers building as well as the large parking lot provide a huge parcel of land. A significant building(s) could eventually be constructed there.

There's a lot of infrastructure work to be done in this area too, so we're going to see several years of construction happening. Eventually the place will look nothing like it looks today.

The block that the former Rogers call centre is on is apparently owned by an Ashford affiliated company. I'm sure they have plans. Ashford is a huge player in the future of downtown Moncton.

It won't be the first thing that happens, but eventually a significant building will be constructed there. The Rogers building and the parking lot combined have a huge footprint that could house a tower with a large ground floor commercial component.

Indeed. The first priority however will be the Assumption parking lot.

Sequentially:
1) - Phase 2 of Downing Street and elevating Assumption Blvd to harden it against sea level rise
2) - The Ashford/Downing project (residential 20(+) storey tower and city owned market and convention facility).
3) - New cross street from Downing to Foundry using a corridor including the location of the former city market.
4) - Complete the redevelopment of the Assumption parking lot.
5) - Redevelop the block where the Rogers call centre is.

It will likely be 15 years or so before anything is done with the old Rogers call centre building.

3 Sisters Property = 3.5 acres
Rogers Property = 5.8 acres

Seems to me that the work to elevate Assomption Blvd. is going to be a massive project, including a huge amount of sub-grade work. Has there been a timeline announced for the project - expected start/finish date?

That is the Ashford/Downing building itself. It also includes a parking structure to offset the loss of surface parking in the Assumption lot. I am quite sure this is delayed (especially since there has been no formal announcement). The raising of Assumption Blvd would take precedence over this.

Not confirmed, no, but I am not aware of any other building potentially ready to break ground in that area.

Correct. Fencing went up last week, at least all fencing facing Main, VH, and part in the back.
