They absolutely could, throw in escalators on either side and similar to Sapperton station where you can change sides without going through the faregates via escalators. It's kind of funny how the spur-station has better transfer-ability than the interchange station.

Looks like it's in the home stretch. I know there's been reports of delays due to vendor supply chain issues, but a few months' delay aren't significant in the life of a city.

There was another delay earlier on in the project

Issues contributing to the delay include a conflict with the construction schedule of an adjacent development to the east, resulting in a three month delay, as well as well as changes in procurement and delivery processes.

When it comes to these changes, city staff explained at Tuesday’s meeting that instead of a “design-build process” which would result in a single contract, TransLink has indicated it would go with a “traditional design-bid-build process.” This means a contractor for the design is hired separately from the construction contractor, which is adding six months to the process.

How's the construction being handled at Capstan station. There doesn't seem to have any protection for the trains but I can't see well on the pics on this page. Anticipating for the REM Griffintown station.

Correct, there has never been any temporary ROW protection. When required there has been periods of single tracking throughout the day for working on the platforms and full closure in both directions from 9:30pm for crane lifts for roof and escalator installation at night.

@ Brentwood, I'm thinking the last I-beam (yet to be installed) will be thicker/heavier, as it will support the new escalator.
