I calculate that if you can house at least 100 South Asians in there, then the cap rate starts to make sense at $3.2M.

If only a double-digit number of South Asians can fit in there, then yes, it's priced too high.

Do you have discriminating tastes like Carmela Soprano? Do you want to live where the wealthy I-talians live that may or may not be connected to waste management and hospitality/tourism?
6840 Mountain Rd might be for YOU!

Do you guys remember The Sims? It looks kinda like when you extend your bungalow after getting a decent job in the game. The realtors take dumb braggadouchio to the next level.

Why do they care?

Even if Baldanus was an asshole to MolsonEx when he worked for him, at what point do you get over this stuff?

I too once had an asshole boss. And it was in the "career" period of my life when I had way more responsibilities. It wasn't during my student Joe Job phase.

This guy caused tremendous problems for me in my life and if I hadn't been quick on my feet and probably even a bit lucky, I could very well have lost everything because of him.

But it's long over now and I basically never think about him. Even though he is a low level public figure in my region and his "endeavours" are still in my face from time to time.

So you guys will forgive me if I see these hateful obsessions as psychologically, socially and societally unhealthy.

It’s like the concepts of humour, and sarcasm and inside jokes and levity just sail right over your head. You call this obscure internet thread and its posts a societal ill and yet carry on for thousands of posts questioning the authenticity of trans people and downplaying the horrors of the Trump administration. Ok then.

I too, wonder about the obsessions of only my political opponents - allies exempted of course!

Guess I am severely underestimating the broad societal impacts across western civilization of an individual fast food entrepreneur in the western suburbs of Montreal.

Gotta work on that blind spot, I guess.

If I recall correctly, Molson managed a McDonald's for numerous years before returning to earning his PhD and becoming a Prof so not exactly a HS student job for him. Dozens of employees to manage, not "fry guy".

That's hilarious. You wanna get ugly? Have a look into BLM's finances. If you can, that is. It's looking like the greatest grift in history.

Quote:
On 20 December 2020, The Economist noted that $10.6 billion had been pledged to causes and organisations affiliated with BLM.

As far as I can tell, no comprehensive or even partial audit of what happened to this staggering sum of money has ever taken place. Indeed, given the sheer number of corporate and NGO players involved, conducting one would be incredibly difficult. However, taking a look at the experience of just one BLM-affiliated organisation – BLMGNF – could give us an insight into what went on more broadly. The foundation’s story is truly remarkable.

BLMGNF received more than $90 million in 2020, the year George Floyd was killed. According to the New York Post, by the end of 2020 the group had ‘an approximate balance of $60 million’ after spending $8.4 million on undefined expenses and costs, and committing ‘$21.7 million to local chapters’.

This is where the picture gets complicated. A group of 10 Black Lives Matter chapters known as the #BLM10, which includes the organisation’s sizeable New Jersey and Hudson Valley branches, publicly criticised BLMGNF in November 2020 over ‘financial transparency, decision making and accountability’. ‘To the best of our knowledge’, a spokesperson for #BLM10 stated in an open letter, ‘most chapters have received little to no financial support from BLMGNF since the launch in 2013’.

"Undefined expenses." Yeah, those words are doing a lot of heavy lifting here!

The extra $300k over the other guys gets you level front steps. No grass in the yard though.

The Barenaked Ladies couldn't afford here. They only have $1 million.

^ That one seems like a steal compared to the overpriced calamities you posted earlier.

EDIT: I looked at the interior pics. How does a 2,955 sf home look so cramped?!

They're asking $2.5M. I'd want a better design than that. Maybe Toronto pricing has clouded your judgement

To those not from southern Ontario, here's a map showing Niagara's location and a police station map which basically corresponds with the municipalities most connected to each other

Welland is seen as the least desirable municipality in Niagara. It was formerly a mini Hamilton employing thousands in manufacturing, until most of the factories shut down and manufacturing jobs disappeared.
Now they're mass producing housing, and infills, and some new apartments/condos are popping up so it's growing like crazy.

The population was 44k in 1971. Didn't reach 50k until 2006 and stagnated until 2011.
It grew to 55,750 by 2021, and currently is around 58k in 2023.
Almost 1000 units of housing were built in 2022!

^ At those prices, who could blame them. I'm sure a lot of landowners must be making bank with their developments.
