Nice!
The pic is facing north at the Mt Pleasant Station pit, so the TBM is/was pushing off the red steel frame and laying tunnel segments as it moved westwards (from right to left) towards Broadway City Hall Station.
Foreground set up is for the long gone TBM that just arrived at Broadway Ciy Hall Station, background set up is the TBM now leaving Mt. Pleasant.

Yup thanks, I guess I should be adding some context for those not obsessively following.

It's nice to see how shallow the station is and that it'll be quick to access.

As early as April 19, 2023 at Broadway City Hall Station at the excavation site, they are installing a pedestrian walkway bridge to have a direct connection between Alberta St and Yukon St at the south side of Broadway. As of April 28, 2023, they are nearly completed with noise protection installed with the pedestrian walkway

Here’s where you will find opportunities to engage with the Broadway Subway Project, such as viewing our project overview video, exploring fun facts, conducting hands-on experiments, and creating your own design to colour.

Be sure to also visit our mural at Great Northern Way, which outlines 8 different construction steps, and offers viewing windows where you can take a peek at crews and machines in action!

This page will be updated with resources as our project progresses. Be sure to check back often!

Has this question been answered before? I can't remember, but is it confirmed that the platforms will be 80 meters? The Broadway Line runs through 5 km's of already densely populated neighbourhoods that will grow very quickly to West End levels of density. This is something much different than the Expo/Millennium/Canada Lines that are suburban lines running through mostly low density single detached neighbourhoods.

Toronto's Yonge Street line carries 40 000 passengers per hour. The Bloor line carries 30 000. Montreal's Metro has a much higher carrying capacity as well.

I would hope that the stations are built with platform lengths to handle at least 6 car trains, which would allow a capacity of over 30 000 people per hour.

Yes, they are reported to be 80 metre platforms, and yes, Helvetia answered your question a few months ago:

The platforms are 82.5m, it’s labeled in the designs in this document. https://web.archive.org/web/202210202245.../2022/03/Open-House-1-Display-Boards.pdf

Also listed as the minimum platform length in the business case page 43. https://web.archive.org/web/202207252208...20/08/Business-Case-FINAL-March-2018.pdf

still think they should have been 100m platforms... but whatever. at least they're 82.5m.

Thanks for those links, one note, the table I'm assuming that you're referring to is on page 43 of the PDF but it is labeled as page 40 of the document.

Longer platforms at some stations are wasted unless all the other stations on the line are extended - and given the cost of doing that it may be a better cost/benefit case to just build a parallel relief line. One of the advantages of a new line (apart from the beneficial network effects) is you can build all the stations with a longer platform (as long as you don't insist on a branching line like all of the compatible Skytrain extensions have been).

It would have been simple to have longer platforms on the Canada Line, but we went the other way (sigh)...

You can have the trains longer and only go all the way to Commerical-Broadway, but then you have to deal with congestion on the Expo.

The good thing is, building longer platforms can be done as the line remains operational. So, there could be the situation of building a new line elsewhere and adding to the platforms on existing lines. So, as long as all underground stations can be lengthened, there is no issue.

The rest of the Millennium Line is above ground so it might not necessarily be as cost prohibitive to lengthen those platforms. If the underground stations aren't built for expansion though, that's pretty permanent.
