The structure is now standing at #4 tallest in Vancouver. The next demotion will be handed to #3 One Burrard in a few weeks. (Not an official stat, just a personal observation)

Edit: Correcting the overall height, Feb 24th they installed some rebar column cages with horizontal tie-ins for the rooftop slab, I seem to be eager the make it taller, if only I had my way

I'm not an alarmist, just being curious...This is a screen grab from a Live Stream Butterfly Under Construction today.
Timestamp is 1:02pm (3 hours after the snow stopped), I wish I had taken a closer look earlier in the morning to see how much snow these panels were retaining.
When the building is occupied and heated (or panels are treaded with a coating), I wonder if that will minimize the snow from sticking and icing up.

I assume the lack of windows might play a role in how snow falls next to the tower. And it would make the ledge that much more narrower for snow to settle.

I grew up in Port Moody with the understanding about patio furniture:

I wouldn't be surprised if snow build-up was completely overlooked in the design, this being Vancouver after all. I hope it doesn't become a problem and a new source of ice bombs.

Otherwise the building looks awesome and I should try to check it out in person once weather improves.

Never noticed it in any of the photos but there are steel drainage pipes (?) on all the balconies. I guess that will prevent staining on the facade.

If the building envelope is worth anything, it shouldn't affect the surface temperature of these panels. If anything the windows will stop the snow from simply blowing over the currently-unprotected sill and instead cause more build up
