Yes that's right. And I took the photo from what I call the back side of the neighbourhood, the side we don't often see.

This one (and the building behind the Loblaw's Isabella) are really attractive buildings. Good size and density, nice mix of materials, etc.

I would love to see a bunch of similar ones in places like King Edward, Bank St south of Billings, Carling, etc.

I totally agree on both counts. Amazing what happens when you add a little bit of colour to a building in Ottawa. I would add the new building at Elmvale to your little list. It has a lot of charcoal brick, but nice woodsy accents and very high quality glazing and materials, it looks fantastic.

I think the James House project on Bank street will be really similar to this one or even better. Seeing how this one turned out really give me hope for the James House

It's like a really nice alternate universe version of Tamarack Flora with balconies and far more pleasant materials.

Very nice. I'm hopeful that the new James Street developments will look similar to this.

Nope. Not unless you count the old restaurant supply warehouse in the white building in the foreground.

It's a very captive customer base if someone was to open a coffee shop, if there is ever a redevelopment along the shore there, it would get lots of customers of the path network too.

That is nuts. It's a 10 minute walk, to get to the few Lees Towers retailers and services. 22 minutes to Main Street shops, or 36 minutes to the Rideau Centre. All figures one way.

At least the giant development next door should have retail, but would it be too much to ask for a coffee shop or convenience store in the village for now?
