They are ugly but I wonder if they can possibly be wrapped? Will still look awkward, but less $hitty than leaving them exposed

Hearing movement on that as well and how great will this corridor feel once the west is done and the mall sorts itself out.

Agree. And here's hoping they speed up the west leg of the LRT expansion so it's not a construction zone for 27 years.

Yup, for what it's worth Marigold seems to have their ducks in a row better than TransEd so far so I'm hopeful construction will be more expeditious than with VLSE.

I am also pumped to see the Manulife podium redone and also for Ace Coffee to open in there within the next few months.

BREAKING: Regional transit in Edmonton is dead.

Council voted tonight not to pay for the 1st phase, effectively killing the regional transit commission. Municipalities signed on with the condition that Edmonton will participate. #yeg #yegcc #yegbudget

AYFKM?
“We’re not sure it’s an idea that can’t work. But, it won’t work as a privatized deal and we want to have a seat at the table. We want to be involved in decisions that are being made about the service that we operate and we want to protect our jobs, we want to protect our union and we want to protect our jurisdiction,” Bradshaw said.

TransEd state they are 94% complete with the pier repairs as of today. Next step is a resumption of testing of the trains on the elevated track and then testing on the full length of the Valley line. Based on them almost finished the pier fixes, I would think they would resume this testing after New Years.
