I believe the new, smaller Pizza Hut takeout location is now open at 45 Plaza Blvd.

I know @MonctonRad had mentioned before that this was going to be one of two with another similar location in Dieppe, where exactly was that one planning on being?

The one on Plaza seems to be open now, but do you know where the one in Dieppe is going to be? Doesn't seem to be showing up on the Pizza Hut website.

Across from Dieppe city hall, in that little strip containing that Fun-Tan tanning salon.

Gotcha! I'm guessing they will be splitting the staff that were at the current one between the two locations or something to that effect, honestly I wasn't surprised that they are doing something like this (going full takeout/delivery) as they haven't really been using their dinein area for the last two years.

Although they improved the curbing at the Bulman/Mountain Road intersection this summer, and installed the bases for the new traffic lights here, they have not installed the traffic lights themselves.

I imagine the lights will be installed next summer. This may be concurrent with the beginning of construction of the 3x six storey apartment complex on the NW corner of the intersection. I'm about 100% sure that this project will proceed next year as well (I saw a mention regarding this on Moncton city council minutes a couple of months back)

Here is a render of what these three buildings will look like:

These three buildings will be adjacent to the two other recently constructed six storey apartment buildings immediately to the west.

And then there is this professional building also planned for the SW corner of Bulman/Mountain.

Things have been quiet on this front since PACS approval about 18 months ago. Perhaps with intersection improvements, this will proceed next year too.

Bulman Drive, not Lonsdale.

Dammit, I should have double checked on the map rather than going off the top of my head.

And in other news, there are two lots which are undergoing site prep in the MID West Industrial Park. One of these is quite large, and occupies the entire inner part of the loop at the end of DesBrisay Ave, directly across from Fero Waste Management. There is no indication on either lot what might be being built there.

They're laying down the curbs in the parking lot/drive-thru area for Popeye's today. I'm willing to bet anything the lot will be paved within the next 7-10 days (before the asphalt plants shut down for the year).

Then, it'll just be final fit up and signage before the anticipated December opening.

And then all hell will break loose with traffic chaos on Mountain Road!!!

RBI bought them in 2017 for 1.8 billion. They're the reason the chicken sandwich wars even started. 3700 locations world wide. Hard to believe you've never heard of em. But you have now 😉

This recently cleared piece of land on Berry Mills Road, not far from Maritime-Ontario with be the new home of Impact Auto Auctions.

Infinity Aerials photo

Their old location on Marriott Drive (off of Harrisville Blvd) has been sold and will be part of a major new housing development paralleling Highway 15 on the north side.

The source for this information is very solid.

Yeah, I'm kind of nervous about this, arguably it is possible that this location could draw in even MORE people than the Halifax one considering our "hub of the Maritimes" location, at Christmas time, and it is in a spot less adapted for a traffic surge than the Halifax one (being kinda off on its own in a retail development next to a major highway, vs this one being right smack dab along a main artery). I anticipate anarchy. Will be fun if there is an eventual City Council meeting about this (if the traffic effects are bad enough) trying to lay the blame on someone lol.

I had mentioned this a couple months ago. MonctonPerson had confirmed. You can see the documents in the post I’ve attached.

Furiously paving today. It looks like the big rush is on to complete this project by early December.

I might apply to get some day 1 without having to wait in line. Can't make any guarantees I'll be back for day 2 though

Always amazes me why people flock to something new on the first day, knowing that it's going to be a mad house.

I'm lucky I drove to Bedford a couple weeks after their location opened so its fairly fresh in my mind. I'll probably go right after Christmas holidays hoping people are still filled with turkey and regret and won't be there
