It's been owned by the city since 2015, according to property records.

Windows are going in the building across from Home Hardware on Mountain Road. Look at the 2 step on the ledge of the sixth floor, safety first lol.

There is a large area cleared with active construction going on out Berry mills road near the Maritime Ontario warehouse. Does anybody know what’s going on there?

I assume it's the property where a company recently went to the planning commission to get approval for a salvage yard: https://plan360.ca/media-planning/meetings/SE-PRAC-Report-22-1634.pdf

It looks like Casino NB will be relaunching its Buffet in the first week of November. It will only be a dinner service and offered 4 days out of the week to start. The price is also going to be significantly more that PreCovid Buffet experiences. However the menu is said to match the value.

Proposal for the next phase of the Magnetic Hill Estates subdivision:

An interesting sidenote is the location of intended expansion of the trail system in the area (yellow lines), extending to and including Northrup Frye School and, also extending into Rural Estates.

Apparently they are trying for a December opening for the Popeye's restaurant on Mountain Road.

I wonder if the traffic chaos will be as bad as it was in Halifax when they opened down there.

I imagine worse as it's on one of our main roads and doesn't have a cul de sac at the end to direct traffic like they do in Hali. Where are cars going to line up? It's going to be a mess

The old Pizza Hut on Mountain Road is being demolished today.

I saw an excavator knocking down a wall on the way into work this morning.

I wonder if there are any plans for this property?

I saw a tractor there the other day and wondered if it was being torn down in favour of the new location on Plaza. I’m honestly not surprised though.

Here is the link to the new buffet menu. It will be open four nights per week for the time being.

Much more expensive than before. $23.99 for members and $28.99 for non members.

So, the old Pizza Hut on Mountain Road is now gone, but the concrete pad that it used to sit on is still there, and appears to be in pristine shape.

Ready for adaptive reuse perhaps??? I hear that Church's Chicken is sniffing around for franchise opportunities in the Maritimes........

I feel like this would have been a much more accessible location for Popeyes. Oh well.

I was surprised they closed but I guess they are rebranding. Did someone say they are going to a stripmall further up the road?

There are two takeout locations. One on Plaza Blvd and the other in Dieppe.

They are starting work on the second Spice Shop location on Mountain Road (next to Hardy's Produce). The first Spice Shop location is on Champlain Street in Dieppe.
