You don't find that shot too tall, too densely packed and, with too much glass?

To be Latin American? Or to look good?

The answer to both is yes. But I both like and find Latin American the expanse of intense development abutting forested natural features, and the cliff effect of said development dropping off, giving way to villa districts (or slums) beyond.

super toronto shots on the previous page. On track to being Canada's first Megacity, with a skyline to match.

Yes I know this was taken in the summer. This view will be even more epic with all the new towers that will be going up from this angle.

^The CN Tower looks like it's wearing a boxy robot costume.
(or maybe it is armour, to protect it from the death beams of the Eye of Laval )

Great angle though.

Halifax. View of Barrington and Argyle with North End buildings (and Macdonald Bridge) in the distance. You can also see a development site cleared on the far left (former Grafton Street cheque processing bunker). Curious to see what will go in there.

Halifax looks hefty in that shot, with the cranes in the distance.

Best picture of Hull is the one where you don't see it?

I personally think Halifax's skyline is better than Ottawa's, even though both lack any tall buildings to break them up. I think it's a combination of Halifax's natural geography (the water, Citadel Hill, the bridges) plus what appears to be more variety in built form now. Just my opinion, but I don't see it as a mini Ottawa or less than, I actually prefer it overall

With the now expanding North skyline, Halifax is becoming quite the city, with a more dynamic skyline. I'm curious how growth will dictate the future neighbourhoods that evolve into the coming decades.

In that sense, Halifax and Ottawa share similarites. I'm not necessarily comparing neighbourhoods like Centretown and North End (I forgot the name of that area*), simply because it would be wrong and I know very little of either. I'd be comparing them based on how they're growing now and how these projects coming into fruition will impact services and see them both gentrify and change.

I'm thinking Halifax may need to look into a higher order of transit down the road, going N/S, but that's 10 to 20 years from now.
