For anyone confused, the two sites are next door to each other:

Coronation Heights - in Coquitlam, will get built, who knows, may even get started before the next coronation.

No, you are confusing Coronation Park with Woodland Park.

Coronation Park - in Port Moody, right next to the Inlet Centre Skytrain (and Coronation Heights in Coquitlam, of course) - hasn't been entirely killed yet by PoMo council, but they are looking for a stronger majority on council to finish the job.

Woodland Park - also in Port Moody, but on the other side of town, miles from any transit options except for the local 180 bus, hence the somewhat redundant name. This one is actually going ahead, as you say.

It looks like Translink is planning to develop the Coquitlam Central park and ride & bus loop. The lot is 400,000sqft, very slightly smaller than the Marcon site across Lougheed with 8000 homes in 9 tower.

TransLink is seeking to retain a multi-disciplinary Proponent team to complete a conceptual Master Development Plan for the Coquitlam Central site, following the process and requirements prescribed by the City of Coquitlam. This work will establish a vision for the development of a significant neighbourhood in the City of Coquitlam and the creation of a mobility hub. The outcomes of this work will inform subsequent phases of development planning and integration with transit services.

Through the Request for Expressions of Interest (RFEOI), TransLink will invite Proponents to confirm their interest to participate, form multi-disciplinary teams, and illustrate capability to conduct Master Development Planning work at Coquitlam Central. TransLink intends to identify up to five (5) pre-qualified Proponents to be invited to participate in a further competitive bidding process in the form of a Request For Proposals (RFP).

With 3/4 of the corners of this intersection slated for major redevelopment in the next decade or two, it's going to come pretty close to the density that Brentwood Station is achieving. The north side is going to be served by Lincoln Station as well, but I can see this part of the line being very well utilized. If the southern spur towards Port Coquitlam ever gets built out, they're going to have to expand the Skytrain station.
