Never commented on this one before, but I love how tight the city looks. Looks like Ottawa is built on a hill too. Great shot. Hopefully around 2030, Ottawa-Gatineau can actually resemble this in different angles..
Posting Harley613's pic form the Tunney's thread. Quite an impressive shot. Fascinating to see the amount of trees, the lines of development (Scott, Wellington West/Richmond, Carling, Baseline). Big changes coming up in the next few years. Not hopefully we'll see anything at Tunney's itself other than the District Energy Plant.
A few observations;
-Claridge Moon is barely visible (I guess that's a good thing)
-A dense & tall Bayview + Lebreton would go a long way
-Seems like a lot of people have moved into Claridge Loop already
-The crosses at Story@Rideau haunt me

I'd agree with you for a lot of the NCCs files, but over the years there's been a fair bit of progress with the illumination plan with a lot of notable buildings on Wellington now lit:
New senate/old train station
Post office
PMO building (recently changed the hue of the existing lights - not ideal but not better than before)
Sir John A building
Wellington Building
West block - Mackenzie tower (sometimes is lit, sometimes isn't - not sure why)
St. Andrews Church
Curious to see if the west memorial block reno includes lighting

They're great at doing consultations, planning and developing 68-page plans, they're just not great at executing them after.
