Love the Maestria project in MTL and the affect/height it's bringing to that end of town. It's making a big impact given there aren't a lot of other tall project nearby.

(not necessarily visible in this last picture posted but speaking of the earlier pictures posted in the last 2 pages)

landlocked...

Montreal looks fabulous. I'll take table-top in Montreal with the rest of the urban form still in tact over a few 275m buildings.

The impact of Maestra is even better at street level as it fills an almost intolerable and embarrassing "hole" (a vacant lot) on an otherwise impressive, long stretch of continuous, complete urbanity on the city's main street Ste-Catherine.

Pretty sure the saturation was boosted. I think the colours will peak over the next week if wind and rain doesn't end it sooner.

You bet (table top with intact urban form > handful of 275M buildings).
It is too bad that Montreal is so landlocked. Can you imagine if the St. Lawrence was navigable?

It’s a water tower (circa 1936). It’s been restored to make it accessible to the public (observation deck).

The river, the bridges, the hill, the skyscrapers, I think this is peak Montreal skyline. Obviously Im not against a 275m-ish tower (ideally on top of the train station(s)), but honestly i dont see how one or many taller towers would help make this look any cooler.

The worst parts of Greater Vancouver are buildings built since about 1975. In New West, I liked Sapperton and Queen's Park.

The street level integration on those high rises is poor and the designs have split identities; in sum a bunch of mediocre towers ruining views.

These photos are from the spring. The Bosa project is moving quickly. One of the towers is on its 12/13th floor.

Soon there will be another project nearby that should be visible from very far. 1 Square Phillips, about 200m.

Both projects will be less than 250m apart.
