Curious to see more detail of the podium. Anything short of stucco will be an improvement over the exposed aggregate concrete panels. I like the new wider window slits mixed in and the break at the top. Nice design tweaks.

The rando windows on the lower 2/3rds of the white one muddle the simplicity and execution. I don't oppose rando over symmetry for this appication either. I just feel the intent is to be as random as possible than being creative. The narrow scale is commendable coming from Toronto

The red one looks good.

40 floors is quite a lot for that part of Eglinton, but it won't seem that way in the coming decades I figure. I don't mind the height, but I also don't really see transit being improved in that area for years to come (5+ years), which worries me a little. That being said, I'd be happy to see more mid to highrise development in that area, as long as it peaks towards major intersections.

Busses are already fairly busy along there, so I can't imagine it when this part of Scarborough intensifies, especially with the Scarborough Junction plans (if they happen anytime soon*) and the redevelopment of the Golden Mile area).

It's a busy design, and definitely not in a good way, but it's to replace one of the dozens of plazas that dot that area.

It's good to see more sites being targetting in Kelowna, that could be a great place for a grocery store or other substantial retail uses.

What's also nice is it is the most noticeable vacant lot in the downtown area (was a gas station before), so its a great spot for a development.

That Eglinton proposal is ugly. The hieght doesn't matter to me. I just question is a 44 storey tower with what appears like 600 plus units the best environment for the site.

.. than followed by another 40 storey tower for little Kelowna followed by three high rises hugging a stadium in Ottawa

Rumour on Skyrise Cities is that the Stephen Avenue Quarter proposal which was set to demolish our last remaining intact heritage block DT is dead now that Petro Canada signed a new lease with Brookfield. I've never been happier to see a proposal not get built. We might encounter the same problem in another 5 to 10 years though if another major tenant materializes.

Yes that’s the one. It had a 10 storey bunker for a podium and generic random patterning on the hotel and condo portion from the elevations. No proper rendering was ever released.
