The state runs the Javits Center. Putting it
near the Javits is a good idea. The west side has plenty of available lots to build on, including the railyards, and the block immediately south of the Javits. Any future expansion of the Javits (it recently underwent one) should be for the Javits itself.
But I know Times Square doesn’t need a casino. Neither does Herald Square. Queens will likely get one at Resorts World. It would have been interesting to see something proposed for LIC. Coney Island could use one. If it’s going to be in Manhattan, the west side is the place. It could be designed in whatever gimmicky fashion they like. We’ll eventually see the proposals.
