New 29 floor building in Ottawa. It will undoubtedly get lost in the flatness of the CBD/Centretown skyline, but the build quality is far beyond what we're used to in Ottawa, at least for a residential building. Ottawa is the land of teal glass, mullions and charcoal brick, so this is a nice change. It also integrates the heritage Medical Arts Building façade (though I wish they would have kept the entire building, not just the face).

Re: Garden District

I don't think it's the worst facadectomy plan by why recreate buildings that were destroyed by fire? This is not heritage retention

Can you get anymore Miami than 4800 Yonge? The podium is office instead of parking.

A parking lot in Victoria!

I gotta say i'm confused with the renderings. On one the terracing in on the corner and the other has the terracing mid block. It's sculptural; don't have anything to add to that. Hopefully, The solid poo coloured panels are high quality interesting material. I worry about the scalloped facade feature. It may look odd with against the rest of the facade.

Nice to see Telus Ocean moving along. I remember reading about it here some time back, although I didn't pay close attention to its progress. So when I noticed the site from my hotel window earlier this year, I was a bit confused as to why it hadn't materialized yet. Should be a great addition to the area.

View of Almon Street area in North End Halifax. This used to be mostly industrial while over toward the harbour side there is a mix of small industry and residential. Those precast towers with the teal lego-style roof material were built in the 2000's; development has really improved since then.

Dutch Village Rd. You can see a few excavation sites for new developments. Some of the towers in the background are more or less along Joseph Howe Drive, an artery around there. There are some offices too, the CBC building and Manulife.

Get a chance to look at this site in October when I finally get back to Vic.

Just so much eye candy on this page, thanks all for sharing!

Maldive, your updates are amazing and appreciated as always. I think it’s actually to Toronto’s disadvantage that is has so much going on.

I love this picture you shared:

First thought is that there would be two residential towers in Toronto. Second thought is some new facadectomies in the near future. Third thought is will there be any skyline tapering?
