Plus a rapid transit crossing near IWM provides regional connectivity without having to go through downtown Vancouver, avoiding the creation of a bottleneck.
Work will begin at 8 p.m. on August 5 and will continue overnight until 7 a.m. on August 6. Throughout this work, one
lane westbound and one lane eastbound will be maintained between Cambie to Columbia streets. On the morning of
August 6, the traffic deck will have four lanes (2 westbound, 2 eastbound). Eastbound traffic between Ash and Cambie
streets will remain reduced to 1 lane due to sewer work.
The section of the traffic deck between Yukon and Cambie streets, is expected to open to four lanes later in August.
