No I don't think it will slow. Yes they did play a big part in it, but residential as a whole has just been super hot regardless. Frankly I think developers will push through anyway, even with the extreme luxury projects like 80 South. Maybe not as frequently as before, maybe so. Idk at this point.
But we'll also see a lot of stuff for the "average millionaire" lol, instead of the billionaires. Like The Brooklyn Tower or 247 Cherry Street. And if HY 2 contains supertalls those will be expensive but not 57th Street expensive.
Also a lot of new supertalls coming to the city will be office, through projects like Penn Station towers and PABT redevelopment.
