Scotia Square seems like a good candidate for things like outline strip lighting or huge murals or projection mapping on the blank walls. It's one of those cases where the company that owns the complex doesn't have much incentive to do those things because they don't have trouble leasing out all of the space no matter how ugly/plain it looks from the outside. Hopefully the architects for the Cogswell redevelopment projects will find a way to tie things all together visually. I find a lot of recent developments have done a good job of that.
I actually wish there had been more of an effort to restore and enhance Scotia Square's original 1960s styling and keep it as a sort of period piece like PVM, but all of the new additions just look like leftover parts from the Nova Centre and are nice in isolation but make the overall complex look worse.
