In a very un-montreal move, the tower with the giant Molson sign and clocks will actually get taller to reach 100 meters to keep being the tallest construction on the site. The signs will be kept up there.
Nice shot of East Village with the Central library! You probably can’t see it from that view now since the second tower above the Superstore is halfway built.
The tower designs for the row of tall towers in the last Montreal photo (Chidren's hospital redevelopment) are Montreal's answer to seafoam glass in Vancouver. The difference is just interesting.

Indeed. These black and white towers are everywhere now, even Griffintown (Wellington sur le bassin being the last crop UC), the Radio-Canada site (Auguste et Louis projects) and Cité du Multimedia (21ième arrondissement projects). The problem is that most of them are designed by the same handfull of firms, so it’s getting repetitious fast. They don’t look bad in person though.
The black and white brick trope is defintitely getting old, or has been for years. But I still prefer it to the blue green vancouver tower. Plus I think masonry / brick is more durable in the long term. Especially in this climate.
