AC has also increased the daily YVR-LHR to a 77W

And then starting May 31st, TK will upgauge YVR to the 77W, the largest in their fleet, . Would be nice if the upped the frequency, but at least a larger aircraft shows confidence.
Poor HKG is really taking a pounding in their demand. AC has dropped YYZ-HKG all the way until September, while maintaining daily YVR-HKG. CX has cut both bath to 3 and 2 times a week, respectively. They are really feeling the pain from COVID still, while other places have opened back up. I hope this changes soon, for their sake, that city is energetic due to it being an international hub, closing it off is not going over well with locals.
Just taking a look at the number of non-Canadian airlines at the big 4 airports, this is the service this summer.
NOTE: although Chinese airlines are flying to YVR and YYZ on a limited basis, I didn't include any of them on this list because the flights are so restricted amongst continued shut down. So there should be a couple more international on that list for YVR and YYZ, but kept them off. It also doesn't include airlines that 'officially' have service to a city but aren't actually operating this summer:
YYZ
INT - 29
US - 3
YVR
INT - 20
US - 6
YUL
INT - 18
US - 3
YYC
INT - 3
US - 4
You can see how the "big four" doesn't extend to an international scale. I don't think YVR should be embarassed by its service level, as much as the doom and gloom naysayers on this forum want to believe
