I’m not 100% sure but I think it’s this development:

They're still planning to build 2 towers on the north part of the site.

Where did you hear this? I've only heard about the current 6 floor structure that is currently going up. I remember there was a ton of push back from the residents in the tower just to the East of this plot. I guess if they were to put a tower up the northern half would make sense to do so since it wouldn't directly block the other towers views to the West, but I haven't found any articles or references to a tower being planned at all.

This article from 2018

"The towers are proposed for 24 and 27 storeys high, coupled with a mix of retail, apartments and townhouses maximized to a six-storey height."

This pdf on page 76

"The size of the development is to be a total of 801,123 ft2, with all but 2,500 ft2 being residential. The 845 residential units provided within this floor area are expected to consist of 279 rental units in two 6 storey buildings with 112 units in one and 167 units in the other, 496 non-rental units evenly split between two high rise buildings, and a further 70 non-rental units in the podium connecting the two high rise buildings."

The plan was always 2 towers along with lowrise buildings, and since they are currently building lowrise buildings on the south part of the development we can assume the towers will built built in the north part. Sure plans can change but they haven't so far.

Before major rezoning go to council applicants are required to do public open houses. With covid many moved to online. The link below is to Mission Groups rental tower on Bertram.

Sleek looking building, and nice renderings too!

Does anyone know if the couple of single family houses between this and the mid-rise a few properties down Clement will ever get redeveloped?

Anything that can be done on the facade to make it look less blocky? That side of the building is North facing as well if I'm correct. So if you used lighter colours it might look less dark in the afternoons.

https://www.castanet.net/news/West-Kelow...wn-resort-and-spa-in-Shannon-Lake#363742

A resort that would create jobs and bring tourism dollars and create 172 hotel rooms to ease pressure from regular housing being used as short term rentals is shot down. West Kelowna is only a stone's throw away from Kelowna and yet they seem so much more backwards in terms of progress.

Handsome building. Nice, high-quality mid-rise for mid-rise row.

Great news, this along with the soil testing they did a few days ago makes me think the project will be going up rather soon. Couldn't imagine them resubmitting the current proposal if they had found issues with the plot they would be building on.

This is a gorgeous tower. I know it’s been said before but, will this be Kelownas new tallest? Or will Bernard block take that title

Water Street on the Park will take that title.

I really do have my hopes a little higher this time, real on site soil testing and prep work done, application resubmitted, it could actually happen.

While no longer the tallest for Kelowna (can’t believe I am saying that at 129 metres!) this is my favorite design. I feel it has the warm summer character of Kelowna and the Okanagan.

Also it has a fantastic location for such a project, will give needed depth to the emerging Kelowna skyline.
