I'm not too thrilled on the design!!

Before the Design Review Board:

The following ‘Design Review’ has been prepared for two identical 24-unit Apartment Buildings on the subject property located at 25 St. Martha’s Court in Charlottetown (i.e. St. Dunstan’s University Property just off Mount Edward Rd.).

At least they’re trying something a little different, more modern. I’m tired of looking at the same boxes covered in vinyl siding.

What’s this, the third redesign submitted for this new street? Few failures to launch in there. The original concept was my favourite. I do like this look more than the last design that was put forward.

It looks like they are trying to invoke Atlantic Canadian vernacular architecture with unpainted wooden walls. I think this looks 400% better then the typical copy-and-paste vinyl siding clad multi-family buildings that are going up all over PEI!

I don't like it because it reminds me of the low-income apartments of years past. I think the apartments being built on St Peter's Rd are more my flair.

I love the design of what’s going up on St Peters Road. I really hope the final product mirrors the rendered images. We’ve been let down quite a few times in this town when rendered concepts looked nothing like the final design.

Fredericton already has Sephora. Opened back in 2018. The only new Atlantic stores are Saint John and Charlottetown.

For Charlottetown the job listings says unit 15. Not sure exactly where that is in the mall. For Saint John the job listings says unit B-007B, which is the former Le Château near the food court.

I see the gym at the mall is going to be losing its pool and tennis courts so the new owners are going to try to make the Mall Great Again as it was never a great mall, to begin with. But this will come at the expense of folks' health. As there are lots of islanders that play tennis and swim and use these facilities at the Spa.

At the end of the day, The Spa is an outdated gym located in the basement of a mall. It’s dark, dingy, and the air quality 🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵. Tim Banks is essentially killing this gym because the pool and tennis courts were the two program offerings that set this gym apart from the others. So unless the owners have a plan to modernize the gym, then the writing is on the wall, and The Spa will not survive whatever plans Tim Banks has for the mall. I say this as someone who has held a membership at The Spa for 5+ years.
