Perfect reference... describes it exactly!!

LOL on the mice.. I'm sure there's a reason

One last shot on how "empty" the interior is. Techs on a multi-week trip hang hammocks from the roof struts width-wise across the fuselage and swear it's better than first class

So excuse my ignorance, but what’s the plane for?

Oh man, a super lightweight 757?? That must take off like an F-15 with afterburners on.

It’s a flying test bed for Honeywell Aerospace electronics.

Thanks. I really had no idea that they would devote a plane exclusively to that.

Read the link (originally posted by rocketphish) in the top post on this page..

Honeywell makes over 200 components that go on aircraft (including a healthy number of cockpit electronics)... they've got to be tested somewhere

Thanks. Very cool - makes sense now that I read the article.

About to be a busy week! I wonder if we will see a new "record" with all the March break travel? Here's hoping my flight gets off tomorrow without any delay!

Flair have made a few YOW schedule adjustments with a net capacity decrease overall:
SFB becomes seasonal with the last flight 27APR for the season. FLL continues through the summer
YXX is cut
YYJ increases from 1x to 2x weekly
YVR increases from 4x to 5x weekly - I guess not enough people at this end of the country know about metro Vancouver’s secondary airport

Today’s departure count: 35

Today’s cancellation count: 1

YXX has been extremely successful from YHM... but that's because there is no service to YVR.
Although, Swoop, Flair, and I believe AC Rouge offer YYZ-YXX quite frequently.

I'm sure you took this into account, by YHZ will be daily and YYG will be 3x weekly this summer on Flair. I'm surprised that results in a decrease. I'm glad to see YVR go to 5x though. It should be 2x daily on WestJet and 2/3x daily on AC this summer. (we will wait and see if WS keeps it at 2x day though).

WestJet seems to have updated their summer schedule.

Changes for YOW are:

The removal of YEG (the route is now flown on their subsidiary of Swoop... cannot collect WestJet $ on these flights though)

Removal of the weekly YYJ flight (did not get picked up by Swoop).

YWG increases to 4x weekly Apr 18 - June 5, 5x weekly June 6-26 & July 4-31, and 6x weekly from June 27 - July 3 & Aug 1 - Sept 11

YYC is daily (mostly 2x day in summer peak) from April 18

YVR is 4x weekly from May 1-22, 5x weekly May23-29, and 2x daily (mostly) from May 30 - Oct 9.

YHZ is interesting... only 4x weekly May 1-29, 5x May 30 - June 5, 6x weekly June 6 - July 31, and daily Aug 1 - Oct 23. I would have to look at it deeper to see how the flights line up with their YHZ-Europe bank. Seems like same plane service (not advertised...and you'd still have to disembark) on the YOW-YHZ-LGW route (i.e. the plane that flies YOW-YHZ is the same on that flies YHZ-LGW)

YYZ is daily (didn't check frequencies per day)

I believe their schedule was only updated until Labour Day.

Yes these are the changes since those changes. Flair will still be net capacity down as they flew to YYZ last summer at up to 12 or 13 weekly.

Sunday’s departure count: 44

Forgot that they flew to YYZ last summer. Thanks for that reminder!

I'm surprised Flair hasn't opened YYT yet... I think they could do well on a summer seasonal 2 or 3x weekly from YKF and YOW to YYT.

Canadian Registration Cargo Sighting

Hello group!
Long time lurker, first time poster.

Did anyone else catch the Canadian registered Cargo plane the other day with, memory eludes me, either blue on white or white on blue tail, with two "C" like character logo?
Rather sure it was a 767, but possibly a 757.

Was it one of Air Canada's newly cargo converted 767 with new paint? New Canadian cargo operator?
Thanks.

I can't help you with your question, but I'm sure that one of the regular spotters will be able to. Welcome to the forum!

This sounds like CargoJet's C-FMAJ, a Boeing 767. The aircraft was registered to CargoJet on February 8, 2022, so it's a new addition to their fleet. The aircraft was formerly with American Airlines and Blue Panorama Express before being converted to a freighter in 2021.

@FrankReardon1 on Twitter spotted it in Iqaluit on March 13, 2022.

YKF signs exclusivity agreements with airlines for routes, hence why it attracted flair (on top of lower fees).

I'm pretty sure YKF may have signed a deal with Pivot Air on the YKF-YOW route that was supposed to launch in February but has since been postponed.

Yes! BenYOW....100% thats the cargo flight I saw.
I was going thru the Domestic security checkpoint when it was taxiing in and couldn't get a great view of it late last week. Thought it may have been one of AC's new dedicated cargo planes returning from Israel.
Thanks!
