Thanks. Yes, the way this area is growing, we ought to get ahead of it a bit. Clearly there is a demand and with two metro stops, it's only going to increase in density.

It looks like the Atkins/WeWork/Capital One building got some new roof art.

The Domain might look like downtown Austin circa 2000 soon.

This was posted a few years ago here and it is situated at or next to the location noted. Renderings appear to be in the 22-23 floor range.

That was a different project (or it morphed into the current one.)

What is the height (and floor count) of the current building going up right now? The parking garage already looks like it's in the 7-10 story range. Of course I haven't seen it up close yet.

Drilling on site of the northeast corner of Gault and Burnet where there is a somewhat newish RBFCU. Any ideas what this could be for as it is not a part of "Uptown" or the Domain proper?

City council just rezoned 11911 Burnet, from NR to CMU.

Item 82

https://www.austintexas.gov/departme...220127-reg.htm

"The purpose of the rezoning is to allow for a professional office use development
with a base entitlement height of 120 feet and 3:1 FAR."

^Thanks for sharing; may be slightly cheaper to build there than in Uptown or the Domain.

Verde Square will have four buildings. Some estimation of the heights is needed but it has:

27-story residential, 308'
18-story office, ~277'
9-story hotel, ~155'
multi-level retail building

Residential:

Office:

Hotel:

Retail:

More stuff here. It's the file with no name:

it's the former strip mall site they bought and leveled to put the new access road (Bright Verde Way) through.

I'm sort of assuming it's one of these new buildings on the south side of that road, three on the other.

The design is kind of hard to fathom without renderings . . . but it looks interesting.

Verde Square is both the name of the development and the plaza / courtyard above the underground parking and between the office, hotel and retail buildings. It looks like there may be a large jumbotron and stage in the plaza. I especially like the breezeway through the hotel building that creates a view of the Q2 NW entrance plaza.

I'd love to see a map of how these will be laid out. Or a rendering would be even better.

Right now, it looks like a dollar-store version of the Parkroyal hotel in Singapore

These look great! I especially like the hotel with the breezway too. With this office tower plus Arena tower I'd imagine the plaza will be pretty busy in the afternoon even on non-match days. The elevations of the office component look very similar to the new Adobe HQ in SJ, might give an idea as to what the final product will look like in terms of materials:
