I'm all for breaking up the monotony of curtain wall glass, but the ICON Towers are really hideous, aside from the podiums (which are actually quite nice and conform to the heritage bylaws for 104 St). Cheap stucco, random windows that end and give way to a barren strip of said cheap stucco. There is a better way than this.

I don't think his mocking response is in support of the Icon's design. The podium's brick facade is decent. The windows, split faced engineered standstone and stucco lentils ultimately kill the aesthetics.

Have they started excavating the blocks on the west side of Cherry?

Edit. yeah, digging in google maps streetview. that was the last piece of the puzzle to connecting all the pieces together and giving the neighbourhood an established feel. the other half dozen to dozen development blocks are filler.

Do you see the closed hand with a certain hand gesture towards our sister city to the south? Once you see it you cannot un-see it

By “sister city” I’m sure you’re referring to Canmore ?

I don't recall Canmore being 'The Heart of the New West'.
