This is like the architectural equivalent of a nesting table, with all its redundancies. A cheap vinyl awning, which overlaps beneath a over-designed glulam/glass canopy, which in turn creates a lobby roof UNDER the soffit of the tower above...

I've been meaning to ask: notwithstanding that there's probably nobody from Telus in the building since early 2020, there are a couple of other tenants in the tower and I'd be curious to hear how the building's much-vaunted chilled beam cooling system held up during the last heat wave.

Global had a story last night about a massive police presence at TG for a gang-related arrest. Does this building have the most douchebags per capita downtown?

As per news, the same idiot was involved in the recent Downtown crash were a baby died as a car hit the sidewalk. I hope he spends the rest of his life in jail.

After having participated on condo boards, and having tangential business relationships in the multi-family field, I can safely say that people would be astounded by the amount of gang-related activity and general douche-baggery that goes on in Vancouver condos.

As I was taking these pics there were huge slabs of heavy slush falling off the edge of the arch's glass.

I almost got hit as I moved under the canopy to take that first pic.

It's already April and the glass is still cordoned off.
So that glass floor must be cordoned off for 6 months out of each year?!?

i don't go downtown these days, its disgusting, but it seems like we need a reworking of how to design buildings for our environment overall. there are more and more examples of form over function. from floor-plates to materials to how buildings interact with the street.

why don't they just use those old style sidewalk panels with the small glass blocks? they didn't have these issues. they had sand blasted glass, and were like 60% concrete so you had good grip.
