The problem with technology - they have some malfunctioning LED panels under the overhang - on both sides.
That's why the best public art pieces are static ones like sculptures that do not require maintenance and repair.

Nice! And today the City is repairing the asphalt patchwork from their dig before at the sidewalk below the overhang. The area should look nice once again soon.

Doesn't it have heritage status now? It's been there longer than some houses have survived on the Cambie Corridor.

Yeah, L Tower was nothing compared to this, although the raccoon did get them more attention and still makes me chuckle.

I would love to see the invoice for the crane rent every month and know who is paying for it.

Is is starting to be time to place bets for whether or not the crane will end up lasting for a decade? It must be pushing a good 3-4 years by now?

It was installed in 2015 I think. From the Terrace House bankruptcy filings they were only paying $16K a month on the lease of their crane.

Maybe they bought it or got a good deal on a longer term lease. Tower crane from 1995 online is listed for $40K USD
