Those windows are framed by differently colored bricks, similar to what you see in this photo. (maybe, maybe not...)

As that would be an interesting design, that is not what is happening on this building. Bricks are tinted grey, all of the cuts done to the brick at the edges, corners etc, build up with the red dust from the brick itself. You will see the end result after the brick washing is done.

Yeah I thought it looked like brick dust. I don't know where they are getting red dust from though? are the cores of this brick red and then glazed with something?

Yes the cores are red. The grey tint is only on 3 sides of the brick.

The commercial space will be occupied by a pharmacy. Seems a bit small for a Shoppers

Might be an IDA or Rexall. Those are usually smaller. Pharmacy is probably a good service needed in that end of Rideau. Hopefully Trinity and Richcraft can get different types of tenants. Richcraft's retail space seems to be set-up for multiple smaller, local businesses.

This building is occupied. I thought the light on the top floor looked to be utility lighting but otherwise the rest of the floors seem complete and mostly filled.

Very close to being able to remove the U/C tag on this one.

This one continues to look great as it progresses. This is my favourite mid rise under construction right now.

I am reserving judgment on 1451 Wellington. I can see it looking amazing or very disneyfied.

Love this one. The buff brick with different tones, similar to Ogilvy's, the window patterns, ground floor retail and the restored-ish house (worth demolishing and moving considering what we got in return).

It was demolished to make way for the project. They re-used some elements to replicate on Cobourg.

I wonder if the neighbors in the back enjoy being boxed in by this out of place transplanted building.

Almost finished! Such a handsome building. Amazing what some red brick and fine detailing can do compared to the average featureless gray/white towers going up everywhere.

Really stunning addition to the city. Hoping that they build more like this in the future; its exactly what this city needs.

Wow... the operable windows here are even smaller than at 250 Besserer! No thanks!

And what's with the unevenly mottled upper grey brick? Have they not acid-washed that yet, after all this time?

Mods, it's time to mark this little beauty complete. Easily one of my favourite mid-rises in the NCR
