Fundy Quay to have 677 units. The packet in PAC docs is a really good read if you are development nerdy

Someone is working on the 3-flat building at 83 Mecklenberg. I know most small projects don't normally get mentioned in detail here, but this building is totally filled with cool wainscoting and hopefully will turn out impressively. I briefly owned this building in 2018 but it was way too much for me to tackle at the time.

The peer review does not recommend the overhead pedway. I completely agree, you are taking people / customers away from the street that businesses rely on. Plus as another contributor on this board mentioned - it destroyed the quintessential look of the view up King St to the square

I think that was me and yes, very happy to see they are postponing the approval on the pedway, but it isn't dead yet sadly...simply postponed for decision.

I noticed 210 Canterbury the building tucked in between Cavanaugh’s Ocean Side & Atlantic buildings sold ($300,000) just shy of the opening date of the Atlantic. According to the Atlantic’s Facebook page just 1 unit remains available in the building so I’m wondering if he’s looking for his next project. He already owns like 80% of that entire block so it wouldn’t surprise me. Regardless of who bought it, I hope they do something with it.

Funny you mention that- I just heard 222 Water has something to do with him. Here's hoping there's no modular panels or corrugated metal.

I assume the Leinster Street project is Mike’s too since it looks almost identical. Although decent enough looking for those secondary locations, I would like to see something of a higher calibre at 222 Water St

I can't confirm Leinster is his, it might just be the same 'architects'.

222 Water demands something high quality. It will have to be tall- the building and Murder Hill lot next door are only 97'x93' more or less. Since it's only two blocks from Fundy Quay and blocks precisely 0 residential sightlines I'd like to see something nice.

Not that I am aware of. I understand it came down for structural reasons, not imminent construction.

These projects amount to 353 new residential units in Uptown Saint John!
