Some of these towers are basically villages. I think average occupancy is like 1.6.

Say 360 units per some of these taller towers, that's 576 people per tower.

Holy shit, there's basically entire new cities built out there over the last decade. So crazy to see when you have no connection to the area.

The Vancouver changes have been nuts too, but its the old frog in boiling water analogy.
Kind of just happened over the last decade without realizing, but in a before/after is so stark.

I totally get what you mean. I mean even in the same time Saskatoon has grown up a bit. I've always thought it was a nice, smaller metro and so the comparison isn't exactly offensive, although its peer being a much smaller place definitely is different from now. I think cities like Calgary were always Edmonton's peer, but Edmonton didn't act like it. It looked up to Calgary, and in some ways still does, but it's increasingly looking to punch up, and being inspired by Toronto and Vancouver.
