Verified. There are still pieces that need to fall into place, but I'm very optimistic.

The way I found out was that he accidentally wrong number texted a friend of mine. Friend sent me a screencap and I was immediately like "Oh, THAT Leo Voloshin?"

Blighted luxury houses facing Fishtown’s Penn Treaty Park will be demolished.

https://www.inquirer.com/news/penn-treat...hovel-ready-public-private-20211020.html

Good riddance. Although I can't believe the developer screwed this project up. Townhouses of much lesser appeal are sold in Fishtown nearly as fast as they are built.

Hopefully the developer of the PECO Delaware Generating Station grabs this property and builds something that fits the plot better.

Bigger news here is that the Inquirer has premium articles now.

This is good. At least these eyesores will be gone now. Hopefully another developer buys it and puts a mixed-use development here.

Haha yeah I used three different browsers this morning and in-private browsing and couldn't figure out why it would not load. Then I read it carefully and saw that no one could view it unless they are a paying subscriber.

Yes, they've been paywalling as 'premium/subscriber-only' some articles and Inga's column for about a month or so.

I couldn’t take a pic, but I spotted a tower crane base at 525 N. Broad, the 9-story building set to rise shortly. With this, the Alterra project, and the Toll Brothers project at Broad and Noble, we should see four tower cranes surrounding the intersection of Broad and Spring Garden soon!

Now, if only Mural West at 501 North Broad would get started…

525 N Broad would actually be the Mural West tower. That lot is 523-5 N Broad.

The project you're referring to is actually 545 N Broad.

Not designing this isolated site as mixed-use is insane. Give me a cafe ffs.

This thing is crazy, but interesting. Credit them for trying something different.

Horrible. Much preferred the burned out church.

Good density on a difficult site, but a few changes could have made this much more pedestrian friendly.

This one, inclusive of the historic Kensington National Bank, also goes to the Historical Commission's advisory Architectural Committee on Oct 26 and then to the PHC itself, presumably on Nov 12. PHC staff is recommending approval.

I'm a phase I buyer and this is really pissing me off. I already expressed my frustration to the developer privately that it was sold to early buyers as a mixed use community. They're saying the next phase (on the plot south) will have a mixed use building front Delaware Avenue but I doubt they'll follow through. Sales have been so brisk they've essentially changed the plan to just keep on selling homes.

I suppose the good news is that this development will eventually connect to Beach Street just north of the PECO Power Plant redo by Lubert Adler and that for sure is mixed use.

I simply wanted a place to walk in the morning for a cup of coffee and fresh air before I got my day started.
