If White Rock wasn't so detached from the rest of Vancouver (besides Surrey, of course), it's a place I'd really consider living in. They've arguably done the best job (outside of the downtown peninsula) of focusing the city around the ocean, and it's got the best weather, ie. the least amount of rain in the winter, in the metro region.
