Point still stands: Original concept had direct access for buses in both directions (and didn’t need to share an on ramp with general traffic), did not have any conflicts with pedestrians and did not include the additional of new traffic lights, which this likely includes two.

Just admit the plan before was superior and we will have waited 5 to 7 years longer for an inferior project.

It’s okay to sometimes admit that a downgrade has occurred, even if the party you like is in power and behind the decisions.
