Nice to see some of that beach still exists. Would be nice if they provided some sort of connection from the nearby reinstated multi use path and maybe expanded it.

Been taking transit here and there the last couple of weeks. It seems clean and fairly back to normal despite lingering low volumes for the most part. One of my trains had quite a number of people on it, someone sat in the same booth as me. I do have a complaint. Bus runs every 15 minutes, the train runs every 15 minutes. You'd think they would time it so that people can make that connection. As it stands right now, the bus is scheduled to get there 2 minutes after the train is scheduled to depart. At least the park and rides are very empty right now.

DKaz, that sand bar was always there it just the sandy beach closer to the bridge that was new. plus the sand deposits were better more recently. We shall see what happens the next high water event.

Watching the construction on the Tawatina Bridge today. it looks like they are pushing to get the MUP between the 2 piers completed this week. The seem to be attaching most of the final south side connections today.

not only is alberta - all of it - one of the three “prairie provinces”, it is the one with the most actual prairie. within the province, both edmonton and calgary are considered to be within the area typically defined as prairie.

yeah, the boreal plain extends well into northern Alberta. prairie is just the french word for plain. the difference between the two int eh three prairie provinces is mostly forestation.
