Also, people completely ignored that there is a one-way direction through the food court, with easily read EXIT and Entrance signs and arrows.
To be fair, people have stopped paying attention to one-way signs almost anywhere since a long time ago.

Some didn't pay attention to them in the first place...

Finally visited and the new spaces are nice. Felt bad for the Soon Coffee staff, they were slammed. Out of products (I wanted to try that coffee slushie) and long wait times. They are giving out BOGO cards if you buy any drink which is nice

First time finally get to food court. Totally impressed with the set up. Feels almost like restaurant set up rather than a food court. Tables well spaced, some has window view. Quite unlike old style food court where tables are all jammed in the middle. Venues are not the unusual stir fry, Tim Horton ,KFC type. Some like Persian Grill, Parsley , Bona Fide I have never heard of. Personally I find too many Japanese venues, Brentwood area as a whole already has many Japanese eateries.
As to crowd, I see mall securities were there to spread out people. They have guide rails to direct line up too. My only regret is food all sold out from my favorite venues.

Does anyone have a picture of the exterior of Nat’s Kitchen & Tap House (White Spot)? I notice that it's been removed from Brentwood website, but it's explicitly mentioned by the Daily Hive.

Soon coffee is from Calgary but when looking them up the only location they list or have is in Brentwood Burnaby. Do they have locations in Calgary?

Also, Cineplex plans to reopen its theatres next week. So if it's ready at Brentwood perhaps it will open next week?

On their website Soon Coffee says "Visit us at our original cafe located in the TABLES Food Hall at The Amazing Brentwood" - so this is it currently.

Ouch on movie theatres - "Audiences will be limited to 50 people."

I still think that it will open in conjunction with Rec Room (surely they are sharing kitchen space for both) - and their recent hiring page states the following (with an application deadline of June 13th) "We request availability between June 23 - July 4 for orientation and training. If you aren’t available during this time, don’t worry! You can still apply after we open." I don't think they would open the theatres alone.

Yeah, Cineplex has movie times posted for locations opening June 15th and Brentwood doesn't have any. What GeeCee said makes sense.

I was just curious as Last I could see of it it was well behind in construction. I was thinking it might be a fall opening, so a July one would be a surprise for the best, doesn't seem like any big blockbuster movies are coming out though till 2022 anyway.

I disagree with that last line there. Even just for Marvel, we have 4 movies from them this year. And more movies that were delayed releasing this year.

That said, I can see the inside of the Cineplex and they've made some good progress. The dining area is pretty much done with tables, seating and bar set up. I can see a July opening or at most August definitely possible.

Not sure if this has been posted already but looks like the food court will have plenty of options.

Black Widow, Eternals, Shang-Chi, and Spider-Man are all still slated for this year.

Great selection. Hardly a western fast food chain in sight.

Technically, Spider-Man is a Sony movie and not a Marvel/Disney movie - even though Marvel is producing it on Sony's behalf.

But your point is made as it is in the MCU.

Also opening this year are the Fast and Furious 9 movie, the Space Jam sequel, Suicide Squad sequel , Ryan Reynold's 'Free Guy', Venom sequel, Dune, the new James Bond movie (No time to die),
Ghostbusters sequel, Top Gun : Maverick ( I guess a sequel too), West Side Story remake, Matrix 4, Downtown Abbey 2, and the Kingsman sequel (or is it prequel?),.....

.....along with a whole other bunch of arthouse-type (read :Oscar-bait) movies.
But for the big screen blockbuster fare, there is a whole bunch on the slate for this year as you can see from that list.

Probably at least 18 months from now. They haven't even started presales yet.
