TAB's Instagram says the new food court TABLES is opening tomorrow and they extended the closing time by an hour (11am-7pm). No word yet on which food places will be open tomorrow

it's reallly nice in there. soon coffee is the only one open until lunch and then a few more other vendors open.

the best food court in town, hands down. will there be a direct access to Tower One's 2nd floor?

So I took my mom out on a Saturday drive and she hadn't been to Brentwood in a very long time. The last time she was there the stairs were just being formed and she had to walk all the way up Willingdon (a fact she will never let me live down since I said sure, it's open!

)

Oh Em Gee, Holy crap, it's gigantic! The mall is mostly empty, and the shoe store is closing, which is kinda saddening but c'est la vie. The plaza thingie with the water fountains looked so cool, and the towers are so tall!

But I couldn't find any lobby for the towers. Are they all interconnected through that "Grand Lobby"? Which did look very Grand, I'll admit. Plus the 24/7 consierge looks like something I could get used to.

Okay, this settles it. I either need to move there right away, or stay far far away!

Tower 1 has lobby entrances on the north end (Halifax) and west end (Willingdon). Tower 2 on the east side of it (alpha way) and tower 3 on the north side of it.

Someone needs to make a bumper sticker or marketing brochure from this.

It reminds me of when Edmonton City Centre had Cirque performers and bubbles for its opening.

Photo from my balcony today. I never noticed the cranes at Brentwood before, but it's hard to miss when there's four of them!!!

I was also struck by how much closer Brentwood seems when you're looking at it from the 19th floor, and not biking there from Metrotown

popped in this afternoon, it was quite busy, still a lot of places in the food court not open or fully constructed. But something is better than nothing at this point.

Sephora was open, never went inside though. H&M has signage up now. Scaffolding is again going up in that area on the west side where it was before. Cineplex has installed signage.

yes and this will have BC's first H&M home store. This store also boasts the new design direction their stores are going in, aka plants, soft furnishings etc. Looks like an Aritzia store basically. They close the H&M in Lougheed to open this new one.

Rec Room is opening in early July. Their job posting page mentions training from June 23-July 4, so it seems like they could be planning on opening on the 5th, a Monday. There are also some other mentions of 'early July' on social media.

I had starbucks coffee by that tree the other day. There were alot of people milling around.

sitting there in a completely manicured and faux environment with the absurdly huge buildings around me, I kinda felt like vegas.

(vegas in the middle of the day when it's hot and you are not quite sure what to do with yourself so you go for a walk vegas)

The Pacific Centre store (old style) is not very inviting.

makes sense, phase 3 of lifting restrictions is July 1st. Casinos will also be allowed to reopen on July 1.

The layout on some of the tables seems close?

I didn't see any barriers when I walked through. That couch-type section was also full of people seated at it when I was there too, no social distancing at all going on. They were all in one group but also broke the no more than 6 people seated together.

Also, people completely ignored that there is a one-way direction through the food court, with easily read EXIT and Entrance signs and arrows.
