I see the crane is still there. The last time a mobile crane was working this tower crane (to move it 5 metres over), it was on a Saturday Post #1324
Your guess is as good as mine when Horby st. will be closed off.
what a mess of a set of roof shapes..it's like they only designed this building form the Burrard Bridge view...the rest of it is an absolute mess
I don't mind the stepping - because it's not a flat roof with a box for elevator / mechanical - but there is a lot of blank wall and spandrel that seems to cut the windows down a lot. Horizontal mullions on the subpenthouse levels seem poorly placed.
Thanks for the photos. So, it seems like they're just going to leave curtain wall unit with the incorrect ceramic frit in place. That's unfortunate. Though, perhaps, there's a fair bit of lag time for the manufacturer to make a replacement piece and when it's ready, it will be installed.
To the relief of all those with OCPD, myself included, that off pattern window pane has been replaced.
Your right, at one point they could have avoided being directly beneath it. But what are the chances of a catastrophic failure of the suction cups (or mobile crane).
After what I just said, WorkSafeBC wants to have a few words with me
