That's one of the most flattering photos of Ottawa's urban fabric I've seen. That part of Ottawa has tons of potential. 20-30 new buildings, more retail, an overhaul of the public realm, and that will be a fabulous street.

Rideau is definitely on the up these days. 5-10 years out from being a really great urban street. New towers at Rideau & King Edward are going to pump a lot more residents into that neighbourhood, along with the devt in frame.

Doesn't help that KW has no good viewpoints of it's skyline, unless you're up in the air. The only places I've seen parts of it, at least, are from 'Mount Trashmore' (McLennan Park), in Kitchener and at the far western section of Columbia Street in Waterloo where it climbs the moraine in Vista Hills.
