Halifax. Features Dominion building (older masonry building with tower/cupola) that just had its scaffolding removed after a reno. The building to the left is the Bank of NS. The lighting on that one is fairly new too.

Shots of Ottawa and and Hull from Gatineau. The view is far more impressive in real life.

This is a very interesting vantage point of Ottawa/Gatineau's skylines... and it clearly proves that table top skylines are boring AF. From this angle, Gatineau's skyline looks superior to Ottawa's just based on height variation alone.. it makes it appear to be far more interesting. Enough with the table top skyline Ottawa.. I would love for just one or two towers in the CBD with at least an extra ten floors than the city's current tallest.

Not the best image quality, but it's lesser-seen angle of Kelowna, and worthy of a post.

Ya, Gatineau is more peaks and valleys opposed to Ottawa's flat top thanks to the multi phased Plave du Portage and Terrasse de la Chaudiere, which features the tallest office building in the region.

That said, it's worth noting that Gatineau's skyline in those images include some Tunney's Pasture and Westboro towers mixed in, which enhances the overall look.

Nice shot!

Here is one from East Kelowna above Harvest Golf Club. Unfortunately only from a mobile phone camera, but a good angle for majority of Kelownas towers in one shot.

I noticed that.. interesting how it appears they're on the Gatineau side. Its funny, if I wasn't familiar with that region and only had this pic to go by, I would be quick to assume the Gatineau side is nicer and I'd be totally wrong. (no offence to any Gatineau peeps)
Is the trinity proposal a sure thing or still just a proposal? I'm itching to see some real height in the region.. taller than claridge and hopefully more clusters of hight and pleeeeassse some decent designs.

It has been approved and they still mention it whenever they are interviewed. Last we heard, they will be building one tower at a time, which makes sense.

Work is ongoing to expand Bayview station's Trillium platform as part of Stage 2 rail, including a pedestrian bridge between the Trinity side and the West platform extension. We're hoping construction will start once that is complete, maybe this summer.

Just west of the CBD, two 27 floor towers are u/c and three varying from 23 to 35 are approved. Meantime, east LeBreton could see some 20 to 30 floor towers could be built near the future library, so that will start filling the gap. LeBreton is significantly lower than the CBD, so it won't add to the flat top look as much.

Kitchener-Waterloo from above, posted by merkosss on r/Kitchener.

Foreground is downtown Kitchener. There has been a huge amount of change in the last few years, with multiple condos blasting past the ~60 metre height that was the tallest in the core for decades. Several other towers are under construction as well. There are still many empty lots, but it’s getting there.

The green patch below the rail corridor and to the right of King Street (centre-left of the photo) will be the location of Waterloo Region’s new transit hub. It will bring together LRT, GO rail, VIA rail, intercity bus, GO bus, and local bus services in one central location.

On the other side of the rail corridor is an under construction expansion to Google’s offices, and across the street from that a 5 tower development with office and retail in the podium.

In the midground-left is the midtown area, which also has several projects proposed and under construction.

Mid-background is Uptown Waterloo.

Beyond that and across to the right is the university district. The majority of the buildings there are unfortunately very ugly individually, but the increase in density over the last decade has been unreal. From almost entirely post war bungalows to dozens of mid and highrise towers.

Missauga needs some office towers. It's an almost entire single use skyline. I guess the majority work in Toronto?

unfortunately, Mississauga's office towers are all under 20 stories tall.. there are 9 or 10 of them in there in the city centre, they just barely have any impact on the skyline.. two more offices will be built soon along Rathburn road as part of the Square One district but they too will only be roughly 18-20 floors each, but they'll be a welcomed addition.. office construction has been mostly dormant in Mississauga the past couple of decades. I wish they would just stack the two new office towers and make it one tall one..
