Some areas in and around downtown started moving down the gentrification path over the last 20 years... obviously none are fully gentrified, but there was a bit of that happening in West Broadway, the Exchange District, Wolseley, Bro-Ass, the West End, etc. But Central Park really has not been touched by any of that. Which is funny when you consider that it's just a stone's throw away from some good amenities like the Exchange and all the stuff in the SHED. On the surface it seems like a reasonably desirable place to live.

That park is surrounded by Manitoba Housing and LTC Homes.
